About the Role

Hipac Healthcare is seeking an experienced Service Technician / Field Service Technician to install, maintain and repair healthcare equipment across customer sites across metropolitan and regional customer sites in South Australia.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to a technician who is confident working independently, troubleshooting faults, and managing their own schedule across multiple service job and installation.

You will play a key role in ensuring equipment used in clinical environments is safe, compliant, and operating reliably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service and maintain healthcare equipment on-site
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
  • Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
  • Manage your own workload and service schedule
  • Travel to customer sites across metro and regional locations, with occasional interstate travel.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently in customer environments
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Suitable vehicle

Desirable:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Service Technician / Field Service role
  • Trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or similar)
  • Experience working with medical, healthcare, or technical equipment
  • Experience with hydraulic systems
  • Electrical Test & Tag AS/NZS 3551
