About the role

It’s an exciting time to join our team! ProTen is expanding its footprint in the Regional Victoria – Moolort (Near Maryborough 3465). We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Farm Hands to join our team! You will be working alongside managers with day-to-day work on the poultry farms. With the scope to progress into future management roles. Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Working as part of an effective and efficient team, including following direction from farm manager and assistant farm manager
  • Working with livestock daily and making sure bird health and wellbeing is excellent.
  • Daily shed routine checks, record keeping, grounds maintenance
  • Completing minor repairs, reporting repairs to be made.
  • Making sure company policies and biosecurity measures are followed at all times.

About you

As this is an entry level role, previous experience with Poultry Farming is not essential, but would be highly regarded. You are efficient, with excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude. You are a proven self-starter who is able to work well in a small team.

The successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia, a valid drivers license and be willing to work hard, in a safe manner. You must be physically fit and able to do the role. This will include undergoing a pre-employment functional assessment (incl Drug & Alcohol testing) during the recruitment process.
