UGL Services, Oil & Gas East Division, is seeking experienced Estimator/Planners for a permanent role on APLNG. Based on Curtis Island, off the coast of Gladstone, Central Qld, you will join an established Projects team delivering works in an operational LNG facility. This position is a residential role, and local applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
About the role
The Fabric Maintenance Estimator/Planner will work alongside the existing Projects Fabric Maintenance (FM) team to provide front end planning of all Painting and Insulation work scopes executed onsite. The FM team supports Project, Maintenance & Reliability and Shutdown functions to ensure safe and timely delivery of service. The FM Planner will work collaboratively with the existing FM team to scope, estimate, permit and align workflow control systems (SAP, Primavera) to ensure clear visibility and readiness of works to be executed.
- Ensure Safety is the primary consideration in planning, executing and completion of FM works for all functions.
- Create accurate MTO’s based on scopes received and in collaboration with all invested parties and stakeholders.
- Generate quality time cost estimates with accurate detail and supporting documentation for approval of funding to execute.
- Develop detailed risk assessments, TJSAs and permits as per Permit to Work procedure to facilitate the safe and effective execution of FM works onsite.
- Create, liaise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Focal point for all FM based planning and permitting queries.
- Maintenance and alignment of SAP and P6 schedules in conjunction with the COP Integrated Activity Scheduler.
- Provision of detailed cost time estimates inclusive of all required materials, labour resources and construction equipment required.
- Liaise with site HSE to arrange and facilitate risk assessments and HAZIDS to mitigate identified risks and outline appropriate controls in relevant TJSAs and permits.
- Create quality and comprehensive TJSAs and work permits for each discrete scope as per COP Permit to Work procedure.
- Liaise with support services (Scaffold, Cranes and Rigging) to identify necessary resources, material and construction equipment to facilitate execution of FM scopes.
About you
- Minimum 5 years of exposure in a major Oil and Gas facility within Operations, Maintenance or Projects.
- Sheetmetal/Industrial Painting trade background or relevant Tertiary education required.
- Literate in the interpretation of process flow diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), isometrics and fabrication drawings.
- Working within permitting framework and experience in the creation and evaluation of TJSA’s, risk assessments and Work Permits.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft suite of programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Prior experience with workflow management software highly regarded (SAP, Primavera P6, Issow, ORM/Enablon).
