EOI – Field Service Technicians – Casuals

We’re looking for motivated Field Service Technicians to help raise the bar of what Rotation Solutions are known for in the Industrial Turbines Field Services space.

As a part of the Field Services team, you will deliver a world-class field service experience for Australia’s Gas Turbine operators.

Rotation Solutions, the Field Service and Engineering division based in Perth, are a team of engineers, technicians and unapologetic turbomachinery nerds delivering comprehensive engineering and field services to some of the biggest names in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Utilities sectors. We work with light industrial and aeroderivative gas turbines, including models from manufacturers such as Solar Turbines, General Electric (GE), and Siemens.

What you will do:

• Be responsible for supporting complex field repairs to routine servicing on various industrial gas turbines.
• Provide general mechanical and rotating equipment support at various production facilities in the oil & energy sector.
• Gratify our customers through the execution of projects so well that they share the experience with their industry peers.
• Respond to unexpected problems that arise during mechanical scopes of work, while ensuring it’s completed safely and to a high quality standard.
• Love to travel. The equipment we look after is in remote locations throughout Australia, New Zealand and further afield.
• Be versatile and flexible with your time. Utilisation is expected to range from 30% to 50%, visiting many different facilities on an as required basis.

A developed understanding and interest of turbomachinery maintenance best practice is vital, along with experience in the Australian Oil and Gas industry. Our core capabilities include Solar Turbines and GE aeroderivative engine changes and laser alignments, dry gas seal replacements, borescope inspections, routine servicing, defect repairs and general mechanical support. We have a vision that our Field Service specialists become an expert in either Solar Turbines or GE models.

Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:

• Mechanical Trade Cert III (or equivalent)

• Basic Dogging and Rigging

• Australian Drivers License (or equivalent)

• OGUK Medical

• BOSIET with CA-EBS

• Working at Heights

• Confined Space Entry

• Gas Test Atmospheres

• Police Check

• Experienced with disassembly and reassembly of Gas Turbine engines and Centrifugal Compressors

• Familiarity of Solar Turbines and GE Aeroderivative models

• Ability to execute laser alignments on general rotating machinery

• Flange Management – Including Hot Bolting

• Permit to Work, Job Risk Assessments & LOTO
