What’s on offer?

We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Manager to support the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project in New South Wales for our Eastern Region Construction (ERC) business. This is a key leadership role where you’ll bring your expertise to ensure environmental performance is managed effectively and aligned with our commitment to creating, connecting and caring for communities.

Working closely with the Project Director and delivery team, you’ll provide clear direction, advice and support across all environmental aspects of the project. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring compliance, managing risk and embedding best practice environmental outcomes across the project lifecycle.

What you’ll do?

  • Lead environmental management across the project, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and approval requirements
  • Provide clear guidance and support to project teams on environmental risks, controls and outcomes
  • Develop, implement and monitor environmental management plans and systems
  • Work closely with construction teams to ensure environmental considerations are embedded into planning and delivery
  • Engage with clients, regulators and key stakeholders, building strong and trusted relationships
  • Monitor performance, identify risks early and drive practical solutions on site
  • Promote a culture of environmental responsibility and continuous improvement across the team
  • Support reporting, audits and ongoing improvement of environmental processes

How you’ll connect to the role?

We’re looking for an Environmental Manager who brings strong experience within civil construction or infrastructure projects and understands the practical challenges of delivering works in complex environments. You’re confident managing competing priorities and working closely with delivery teams to achieve positive environmental outcomes.

You take a practical, solutions-focused approach and are comfortable providing advice, influencing decisions and supporting teams on site. You know how to build strong relationships and communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders, including clients, regulators and project teams.

You care about the environment and the communities we work in, and you take pride in doing things the right way. You enjoy being part of a team that supports each other and looks for better ways of working. This is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can influence outcomes, support delivery teams and continue to grow your career as part of a supportive and high-performing environment.

If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you’re not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that’s okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.
