We're partnering with a growing Higher Education organisation seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to lead and mature enterprise-wide risk management across a complex and highly regulated environment.
 
Reporting into senior leadership, this role will work closely with Executives, operational leaders and governance committees to strengthen frameworks, improve risk maturity, and support strategic decision-making across the organisation.
 
The position will play a key role in embedding a practical and commercially focused risk culture while ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed, managed and reported effectively.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the enterprise risk framework
• Maintain and uplift risk registers, risk appetite statements and reporting processes
• Facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments and risk workshops
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide strategic and operational risk advice
• Support regulatory and compliance risk management across a regulated environment
• Prepare reporting for Executive leadership, Boards and Risk Committees
• Drive business continuity, resilience and risk culture initiatives
• Support the implementation and optimisation of risk systems and processes

Ideal background:

• Strong enterprise risk management experience within a regulated environment
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience preparing Board and committee-level reporting
• Hands-on approach with the ability to build and improve frameworks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
• Education sector, governance or ASX-listed experience highly advantageous
