Emergency Services Officer (ESO) – FIFO Kalgoorlie Gold Operations

Fire & Safety Australia is seeking experienced and motivated Emergency Services Officers (ESOs) to provide emergency medical response, rescue capability, and safety support across a large-scale mining operation in the Kalgoorlie Goldfields.

About the Role:

As an Emergency Services Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of the workforce through the delivery of emergency medical care, rescue response, emergency preparedness, and support of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

This is an opportunity for experienced professionals who thrive in remote mining environments, can work autonomously, and are passionate about mentoring and developing others.

Key responsibilities include:

• Emergency medical response and patient care
• Emergency response and rescue activities
• Rescue planning and preparedness
• Equipment inspections and readiness
• Incident documentation and reporting
• Supporting and developing ERT capability
• Promoting a positive safety culture across site operations

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Certificate IV Health Care
• Closed Circuit Breathing Apparatus (CCBA)
• Certificate III in Public Safety/Emergency Response and Rescue
• Drive Vehicles Under Operational Conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote operational environment

Highly Regarded:

• Practical underground rescue experience
• Underground Search and Rescue qualifications
