Job Summary:

Tasmanian quality meats are looking for a qualified electrician to work alongside our maintenance team. the successful candidate will be someone who can perform planned preventative maintenance tasks and respond to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot faults, and carry out repairs to minimise production downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, installations and breakdowns
• Perform preventative maintenance and statutory testing activities.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults across a range of modern equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety and legislative requirements.
• Work alongside the maintenance team to maximise plant efficiency.
• Work on project and plant upgrades as planned from time to time
• Other tasks not electrical related as required by the maintenance team from time to time.

Skills, Qualifications and experience:

• Analytical and methodical approach to your work.
• Forklift licence desired
• Working at heights – desirable.
• Hold a Tasmanian electrical license or equivalent – mandatory.
• PLC and automation experience – desirable.
• EWP ticket – desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with industrial electrical installation work.

The person chosen for this role must have the ability to work in a varied role, as part of a team or individually, have high work standards and take pride in their work performed. It is an important position that plays a crucial role in the maintenance team and the business overall.
