Recruitment

Hi there! We’re Five Good Friends, an approved aged care and NDIS service provider. We help our Members (others call them clients) live vibrantly in their own homes by wrapping a care team around them and their families. Our innovative software coordinates in the background so our teams can focus on what matters most—delivering exceptional care.

We’re proud to be a place where purpose meets impact. Every day, our work contributes to helping people live their best lives, and that starts with our people. As we continue to grow our NDIS community, we’re investing in our workforce like never before—and that’s where you come in.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Disability Workforce Coordinator to join our NDIS Team.

You’ll play a key role in matching Helpers (others call them support workers) with NDIS-funded Members, while supporting rostering, recruitment, compliance, and workforce planning. You’ll work closely with Care Teams, Recruitment, Learning & Development, and Clinical teams to ensure our workforce is capable, compliant, and well-supported.

This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role where strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

What You’ll Do:

  • Helper Matching & Rostering Identify and match Helpers to Members based on preferences, skills, availability, and NDIS requirements. Create and manage rosters, coordinate meet-and-greets, support rate negotiations, and ensure continuity of care. Monitor coverage, manage vacant visits, and make roster adjustments as Member needs evolve.
  • Workforce Planning & Recruitment Work proactively with the Recruitment team to ensure workforce supply meets demand. Submit recruitment requests, review candidates, and contribute to workforce planning across your community.
  • Compliance & Quality Ensure all Helper matches meet NDIS requirements and internal policies. Maintain accurate records, monitor verifications, and respond to incidents, complaints, and feedback within required timeframes.
  • Helper Engagement Be a responsive, friendly point of contact for Helpers. Support them with onboarding, app usage, and general queries, and foster a positive experience on the platform.
  • Team Collaboration Partner closely with the wider NDIS Care Team—participating in stand-ups, sharing updates, and supporting colleagues across regions. Provide relief support when needed and contribute to a strong, connected remote team.
  • Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve workforce systems, processes, and matching outcomes—helping us continuously raise the bar for NDIS service delivery.

About You:

You’re organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting people with disability to live meaningful lives. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving complex rostering and workforce challenges.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in rostering (minimum 12 months, ideally in healthcare or disability)
  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS and workforce compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • High IT literacy and confidence working across multiple systems
  • A professional, friendly approach with strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within remote teams
  • A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable communities

Bonus points for:

  • Experience within the disability sector or NDIS workforce coordination
  • Exposure to recruitment, workforce planning, or compliance

What’s in It for You?

The way we work and the perks we offer are designed to help you live a fulfilling life. The work we do is meaningful, and the problems we solve are interesting.

  • Flexible working – based at our South Brisbane HQ, with hybrid options available (remote applications also welcome)
  • $500 yearly wellness allowance to support your wellbeing
  • Extra time off – additional annual leave after 2 years, plus the option to purchase more leave
  • Free, confidential counselling through Sonder
  • Parental leave support, including super contributions for primary caregivers
  • Family care benefit – extend our services to a loved one at a special rate
  • A genuinely great place to work – with engagement scores well above industry average
  • Okinawa trip – after 5 years, we’ll send you to Japan to experience the community that inspired Five Good Friends

At Five Good Friends, you’re among friends. That’s not just a tagline—it’s how we work every day. If you’re passionate about building meaningful connections and want to grow in a purpose-driven organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
