Are you an experienced Diesel Mechanic looking for a dynamic FIFO role where no two days are the same? We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Diesel Mechanic to join our Northwest Field Service team, supporting customers across Karratha, the Pilbara region, and remote WA sites.

In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a diverse range of off-highway diesel equipment while delivering exceptional customer support in the field. You'll work autonomously, solve complex technical challenges, and be part of a team that values safety, teamwork, integrity and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Based in Karratha on a FIFO roster from Perth, this position offers a mix of planned maintenance, breakdown response, major component repairs and technical diagnostics across regional and remote customer sites.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting diagnostics, servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment and engines.
• Performing minor and major mechanical repairs in field environments.
• Troubleshooting complex mechanical and electronic faults.
• Completing detailed service reports, timesheets and safety documentation.
• Managing customer relationships and providing professional technical support.
• Ensuring parts are ordered and available ahead of scheduled work.
• Maintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment to the highest standard.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and productivity enhancements.
• Providing relief support across FIFO rosters and Pilbara operations when required.
• Participating in ongoing technical and safety training programs.

 What You'll Bring

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a related industry.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working autonomously in field service and remote site environments.
• A strong commitment to health, safety and quality.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Well-developed reporting and documentation abilities.
• The ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• A positive attitude and proven ability to contribute to team success.
