Amazon Studios is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our Sydney, Australia office, supporting the Australia/New Zealand development team. In this role, you will be integral to the day-to-day operations of the development slate, coordinating across internal teams and external creative partners to ensure projects move efficiently through the development pipeline. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong organizational skills, and has a genuine passion for storytelling and content development.

Key job responsibilities
• Coordinate schedules, development and organizational meetings and creative calls with producers.
• Manage the internal flow of information through pitch to development to production to post
• Serve as a liaison between the Australia Development Team and other Amazon Studios departments (e.g., Production, Legal, Marketing) to facilitate smooth project progression.
• Review incoming pitch materials, write detailed coverage, and provide creative recommendations to the development team to inform greenlighting decisions.
• Research and source emerging writing and directing talent across the Australia region, building a pipeline of diverse creative voices.
• Create and maintain weekly development reports and internal tracking documents, keeping cross-functional teams informed on slate status and project milestones.
• Monitor the creative landscape, tracking writers, directors, and industry trends relevant to the team's development strategy.
• Support ad hoc development initiatives and cross-team projects as directed by the Head of Development.

A day in the life
This role is fairly fluid and the focus will be different each day. The coordinator works closely with the lead creative for AU and the Head of Canada/AU. Scheduling meetings across our team with outside producers and writers. There will be some data management which could mean keeping creative inputs on org-wide tables up to date. Creative materials like pitches, scripts or format documents will need to be organized and tracked. Some creative materials need to be reviewed to assess if they fit the remit. Some time sitting in meetings to track deliverables and agenda items as well.

About the team
This team sits inside the International Studios Organization and is responsible for all original programming that is created out of Australia and Canada for our customers in those territories We manage a large slate of projects in development and production from a creative perspective. Our main goal is to entertain and engage Prime Video customers and attract new customers through our programming. The team consists of 4 creative execs, 1 in Australia, and two coordinators who manage aspects of these territories. This role will mainly focus on Australian originals but have some responsibilities to the Canadian team as well.

- 2+ years as an assistant, or 1+ years as a coordinator for a production company, studio, broadcaster or agency
- Experience of working across television or film projects
- Experience managing administrative logistics including calendar scheduling, internal/external meeting coordination and agendas
- Experience with organization and tracking of creative assets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with creative assessment of scripts and format documents
