The Role

Due to continued growth, MCA Engineering is seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers to join our team on a major underground construction project in Central West NSW.

Depending on your experience and qualifications, your duties may include:

• Operating cranes in an underground construction environment
• Rigging, lifting, moving and positioning equipment and structural components
• Preparing loads and selecting suitable lifting and rigging equipment
• Completing lifting operations in accordance with lift plans and site procedures
• Inspecting lifting equipment and ensuring it is safe and suitable for use
• Conducting pre-start inspections and routine crane checks
• Identifying and reporting equipment faults or maintenance requirements
• Communicating clearly with doggers, supervisors and construction crews
• Completing all work safely and in accordance with site requirements

About You

• Previous experience as a Crane Operator or Rigger in an underground, mining or construction environment
• Current High Risk Work Licence appropriate to your role
• Relevant crane, rigging and dogging qualifications and tickets
• Strong understanding of lift plans, lifting procedures and safe equipment operation
• Ability to inspect lifting equipment and complete pre-start checks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety
• Availability to work a 2:1 roster across day and night shifts
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
