Civil Engineer - Inspector / Client side

This leading civil engineering company specialises in the design and development of land development and civil infrastructure projects across South East Queensland. Led by a team of highly experienced professionals with long-standing clients and a reputation for delivering the highest-quality services. 

With continued success for the business and growth plans for the construction division, we are looking for an experienced (delivery) Civil Site or Project Engineer looking to step into an inspecting / client representative role. Joining a high performing team, you will supervise and oversee all construction activities ensuring the highest of quality standards are met and successful outcomes are achieved across all stages of the project. Across a long-term project based on North of Brisbane. In either the client’s office, or delivering team’s office, you will have full autonomy, can manage your own time, interact and fulfill your client’s needs and expectations. 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Monitor daily programs and construction activities
• Provide strategic, commercial and delivery expertise to contractors where required
• Collaborate and contribute to high-performing team
• Quality Assurance Management – in line with DTMR, council, client standards
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders
• Tracking and updating project program against contract baseline
• Preparing reports on construction and progress
• Contract Administration, review of contractor’s progress claims, variations and RFI’s
• Ensuring Safety and Environmental standards are met

The successful individual must have a minimum of 5 years delivering local urban/land development, TMR, Council or other relevant local civil infrastructure projects. Knowledge of delivery to specifications, design, budget, program and while adhering to the client’s quality standards is required. Strong communication, interpersonal skills while working effectively in a team environment across a number of projects.
