Civil Engineer
Quality PeopleOur client URGENTLY requires a Civil Engineer for 24 months + Contracts on the Gold Coast.
The Civil Engineer will join a dedicated Traffic Engineering Practice team. In this role, you will contribute to vital road infrastructure projects by providing technical expertise on the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of the road network. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, you will focus on traffic engineering and road safety initiatives designed to improve capacity, reduce congestion, and maintain safety across the state-controlled network.
Skills and Experience required includes:
- Provide specialist technical advice and assistance in traffic engineering and road safety to other officers; including traffic investigation, safety programs, static traffic control signage and line marking.
- Contribute to the Road Safety Minor Works program to ensure best value for money with road safety treatments within the region.
- Communicate, verbally and in writing to stakeholders, information or advice on traffic operations, including the preparation of technical reports, and replies to the public or to Ministerial correspondence.
- Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
Government experience would be highly advantageous.
