Civil Demolition Excavator Operator

About the opportunity 
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and position plant for operation
• Use of Shear and Grab attachments
• Load and unload equipment as required
• Excavate or scrape earth, rock or rubble to the correct level and alignment
• Select, change and operate special attachments such as shears, grabs, rakes etc.
• Monitor operation of plant and adjust accordingly
• Work from drawings and markers for essential services (i.e. electrical, gas etc.), as directed by Supervisors and Engineers
• Follow and ensure safe operating procedures at all times

About you
To be considered, you need to demonstrate the following:

• At least 2 years' experience operating excavators in a civil demolition setting.
• Experience with concrete demolition 
• Prior use of shear and grab attachments. 
• GPS, Topcon or Trimble experience is desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Current driver’s licence and plant tickets.
• Safety focused attitude.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible to work move across machines and sites as needed by the business.
• OH&S Induction card (white card)

Shortlisted candidates will need to complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
