Regional Group Australia (RGA) are seeking an Apprentice Boilermaker to join our team based in Cranbourne, VIC.ย
Complete training and gain on the job experience to become a qualified and competent Boilermaker.
In this role you will learn:
- Medium to heavy fabrication in various materials.
- Drilling, grinding, material preparation.
- Measuring and marking out jobs.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Using hand and machine tools, welding equipment.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Be mechanically minded, organised and have attention to detail.
- Develop an understanding of RGA WHS policies and procedure
- Ensure that all required PPE is being worn at all times whilst on site.
- Follow all instructions from workshop manager and mechanics.
- Assist Mechanics with finding and fixing leaks and faults with machinery.
- Complete all TAFE assessments and assignments and submit in required timeframes.
- Ensure workshop is kept clean and tidy as per instruction from workshop manager.
- Hazard identification through active participation in the risk assessment process.
- Participate in daily pre-start meetings.
