Make Your Mark on Queensland’s Water Future

Big things are happening in water, and we want you to be part of it. With major long-term programs underway across Australia and strong growth in Queensland, we’re looking for an Associate or Principal Structural Engineer to join our Water Utilities team in Brisbane.

This is your opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical water infrastructure projects that support sustainable growth and resilient communities—from Brisbane to regional Queensland and beyond.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll lead or support the structural engineering scope across multidisciplinary water projects of varying size and complexity. You’ll bring your technical expertise to the planning, design, and delivery of innovative, practical, and durable structural solutions.

You will:

  • Lead and deliver structural design for water-retaining structures, pump stations, sewer networks, pipelines, and associated assets
  • Provide technical input into proposals and support business development activities
  • Drive integration of Digital Engineering and BIM-based coordination
  • Undertake condition assessments, design reviews, and verifications
  • Apply Safety-in-Design principles and ensure compliance with OHS&E and quality standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building team capability

 

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 5+ years in the water sector
  • RPV / RPEQ registration; Chartered status
  • Strong background in reinforced concrete, structural steel and water‑retaining structures aligned to Australian Standards
  • Confident managing projects from concept through detailed design
  • Excellent communicator with strong client engagement and technical reporting skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and quality
