About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Project Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting project delivery, identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and technical excellence across engineering projects.



Responsibilities

  Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, upcoming projects, and business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Senior Project Engineer to identify and pursue target markets aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while building connections with potential new clients.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and submit competitive tender proposals.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for prospective projects.
  • Monitor market activity and stay informed of upcoming opportunities within the industry.
  • Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings to develop and present engineering solutions, methodologies, and project concepts.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance and quality control processes, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), risk assessments, inspection checklists, document reviews, and testing activities.
  • Monitor and analyse test results, preparing detailed monthly reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Compile and complete Manufacturing Data Reports (MDRs) upon project completion, ensuring all project documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Support project delivery by ensuring engineering solutions meet client requirements, industry standards, and company quality expectations.


Qualifications

About You: 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in project engineering, project delivery, or a similar engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering processes, quality assurance, and project documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving continuous improvement.
