About the Roles 

Arboricultural Maintenance Worker

You will:

  • Undertake general arboricultural maintenance works
  • Assist with tree maintenance programs and service delivery
  • Work collaboratively within a crew environment
  • Support qualified team members in delivering safe and effective outcomes

This position is classified at Grade 1-4 with a current salary range of $84,129 - $89,182 per annum plus superannuation.

Arborist

You will:

  • Lead complex tree maintenance activities
  • Provide leadership and technical direction in the field
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members
  • Provide arboricultural advice regarding Council-owned trees
  • Coordinate and assist with rapid response works
  • Contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture

This position is classified at Grade 5-6 with a current salary range of $90,321 - $91,460 per annum plus superannuation.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated and safety-focused team player who brings a positive attitude, strong arboriculture skills and pride in delivering quality work. You build respectful relationships, communicate effectively, adapt to changing conditions and remain calm under pressure. Most importantly, you're committed to supporting your team and delivering great outcomes for the community.

What you’ll bring:

  • MR licence is essential.
  • High Risk ticket above 11 metres is essential.
  • AQF Certificate III or higher in Horticulture or Arboriculture is essential.

In addition, for the Arborist position you must have:

  • AQF Certificate III or higher in Arboriculture is essential.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in arboriculture is essential.

  • Experience in arboriculture maintenance, use of machinery and irrigation. 

  • Experience in training or leading trainees
