Queensland Blocklaying are seeking a motivated and reliable Bricklayer Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a rewarding career in the construction industry while completing a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification. Under the guidance of experienced bricklayers, you will learn the skills required to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, blocks, and masonry materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified bricklayers with construction projects.
  • Learn to measure, mark, and set out work areas accurately.
  • Mix mortar and prepare materials for use on site.
  • Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry products to specifications.
  • Assist with constructing walls, foundations, retaining walls, and other structures.
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely.
  • Read and interpret basic construction plans and drawings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Participate in off-the-job training and complete apprenticeship requirements.
  • Work effectively as part of a construction team.

  • Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
