The Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our Repairs & Service Team for the afternoon shift.  You will be responsible for maintenance, repairs and servicing of road transport equipment including pre-delivery and accessories fitment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and repair orders instructions, to meet specified quality, safety and general performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair as requested by customers

• Attend to roadside breakdowns when required

• Ensure KDM tools are maintained and returned to allocated areas

• Rotate across full scope of tasks assigned to workshop as required

• Perform work to meet the requirements of customers within allocated timeframes

• Clock on and off job cards using a computer terminal and Auto IT

• Carry out all warranty work as per warranty guidelines

About You

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology (Australian Recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanics)

• Ability to complete high-quality work unsupervised

• Keen to enhance and grow their current knowledge and skills

• Good written and communication skills

• Cummins and MX PACCAR /DAF engine knowledge

• Eaton, Dana & Meritor knowledge

• General servicing experience

• Diagnostic and analytical skills, particularly software based Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience
