NEPEAN Longwall is a leading provider of specialised mining equipment and services to Australia’s underground coal industry. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Electrician to join our Paget-based team.

This is a local, workshop-based role offering a 4-day compressed working week, providing genuine work–life balance while working on high-quality underground mining equipment.

Based in our Paget workshop, you will be responsible for the electrical assembly, maintenance, testing and fault-finding of longwall and underground mining equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Electrical assembly and fit-out of longwall and mining equipment

• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs

• Testing, commissioning and quality assurance of equipment

• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics

• Ensuring all work complies with WHS and quality standards

• Working collaboratively with mechanical trades and supervisors

• Current QLD Electrical Licence

• Experience in a workshop or heavy industrial environment

• Underground coal or mining equipment experience (highly regarded but not essential)

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings

• Strong safety focus and attention to detail

• Reliable, team-oriented and proactive approach

• 4-day compressed working week
