.Your job duties & responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
• Supervision of warehouse personnel and the efficient operations of warehouse function.
• To ensure compliance with Customs, and other relevant regulators.
• To supervise and coordinate the collection and delivery of goods.
• To supervise the unloading, checking, positioning, and reporting of goods into the warehouse.
• Other duties may be specified by your Manager.
• Deal with clients and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• Perform appraisal of staff, where applicable.
• Take appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformities.
• Record internal and external complaints on QIR’s.
• Take responsibility for Document Change Requests.
• Take responsibility for completing a Skills Inventory, and for ensuring all training received is recorded on a personal training inventory.
• To ensure regular service and maintenance of warehouse equipment and vehicles.
• To ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and is a safe working requirement that conforms to OH&S requirements.
• Take responsibility for raising and distributing Delegation of Authority emails.
• Take responsibility for confining all sourcing to Approved Suppliers, for reviewing all purchase orders that may be documented, and for liaising with Quality when new suppliers are being considered.
• Take responsibility for processing all warehouse and distribution requirements in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Take responsibility for inspecting freight received or dispatched to the consignee/shipper.
• Take responsibility for ensuring the movement of materials in and out of the warehouse is controlled and documented.
ü To liaise with Air Import/Export and Sea Import/Export Supervisors about the day-to-day requirements of the warehouse and warehouse personnel.
ü To liaise with the Operations Manager or Branch Manager regarding the overall requirements of the Operations Department.
ü To liaise with the National Operations Director with regard to warehousing and distribution commitments (Sydney).
ü Authority to give appropriate on the job training.
ü Authority to move materials in and out of stores.
ü Authorised to hire/fire personnel where necessary.
ü Authority to approve overtime.
ü Authority to liaise with customers regarding warehouse requirements (where applicable).
ü Authority to accept conforming freight.
ü Authority to reject non-conforming freight.
ü Authority to release conforming freight.
ü Authority to review purchase orders.
