Role Title: Underground Grader Operator

Employer: AZROC (labour hire / subcontract to Barminco)

Roster: Underground roster (typically 12-hour shifts, days/nights as required)

Location: Underground mine sites FIFO

Role Overview:

Operate an underground grader to maintain haulage drives, declines, level accesses, and work areas to required standards for safe and efficient underground operations. Maintain running surfaces, drainage, windrows/berms, and manage road conditions to reduce tyre damage, bogging, and mobile equipment incidents.

Key Duties:

Operate underground grader to maintain decline/levels, intersections, stockpile areas, workshop access, and LV bays.

Build and maintain windrows/berms and manage road profile/camber for water control and traction.

Manage road deterioration: potholes, corrugations, soft spots, ruts, and spillage clean-up.

Coordinate with water cart, bogger, trucks, and supervisors to keep haul routes trafficable.

Conduct pre-starts, take 5/JHA, and report hazards/defects immediately.

Maintain radio comms and follow traffic rules, exclusion zones, and interaction procedures.

Requirements:

Proven underground grader operating experience (or strong UG civil/road maintenance background).

VOC/competency on grader (site verification required).

Current driver’s licence.

Able to pass medical + D&A and complete underground inductions.
