Key Responsibilities:
Operate trucks and other large vehicles to transport goods to and from specified locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure and safe transportation.
- Comply with all safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to road laws.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, work/rest periods, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers, providing updates on delivery status.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the vehicle when necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Truck Driver, preferably within Western Australia or similar environments.
- Valid and current Heavy Vehicle Driver's License (HR, HC, or MC class) required.
- Proven experience with long-haul and local deliveries.
- Strong knowledge of Western Australia’s road networks and traffic laws.
- Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Ability to operate GPS and other navigation systems efficiently.
- Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy loads.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
