Trainee CNC Machinist

Our client, based in Wangara, is a leading mining, infrastructure and natural resources company that designs and manufactures innovative drill rigs, rock excavation and construction equipment.

Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a motivated Trainee CNC Machinist to join their workshop team on a temp-permanent basis, with the potential to progress into a CNC Machining Apprenticeship in the future.
  
Trainee CNC Machine Operator
$47.50/hr (FLAT) + Super
Wangara Location
Monday - Friday | 6:00am - 2:00pm
Potential for Additional Overtime
  
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded individual looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing and machining. Full training will be provided on Mazak CNC machinery, with future apprenticeship opportunities available for the right candidate.
  
Job Duties:

• Operate Mazak CNC machines under supervision
• Load and unload materials and components into machinery
• Monitor machine operations and production processes
• Conduct quality checks on finished products
• Assist with machine setup and tooling changes
• Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties within the workshop

To Be Successful You Will Need The Following:

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience highly regarded
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Genuine interest in CNC machining as a long-term career
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
