The Opportunity
Downer’s Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for Trade Assistant’s to join the team located on Barrow Island, WA. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same! You'll work alongside experienced tradespeople, assisting with fabrication, welding, painting / blasting, and general labouring activities. You’ll also be playing a critical role in maintaining safe work environments as a fire watch and a spotter as needed. This is a full-time permanent position, joining our team on the upcoming Butler Park Corrosion Project delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
About You
- WA Drivers Licence – HR class preferred
- White Card / Construction Induction
- Elevated Work Platform
- Working at Heights (completed within last 2 years)
- Basic Fire Fighting Certificate
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and perform manual handling tasks
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support a variety of site activities
