Permanent Full-Time - 80 hours per fortnight

Are you a passionate recruitment professional who thrives on connecting exceptional talent with the right opportunities? We're looking for a driven and dynamic Talent Acquisition Officer to join our People & Culture team and make a real impact on how we attract and retain the best people!

What You'll Be Doing

In this exciting and varied role, you'll be the go-to recruitment expert across the health service. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing best practice advice, coaching and hands-on support to managers across the full end-to-end recruitment process โ€” from job postings and candidate sourcing through to screening, interviewing and selection
  • Leveraging tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and SEEK Talent Search to proactively identify passive and high-potential candidates, especially for hard-to-fill roles
  • Representing People & Culture on interview panels, including coordinating follow-up assessments, background checks and associated recruitment administration
  • Utilising applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies to streamline and continuously improve hiring processes
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of MDHS recruitment training programs, strategies and frameworks
  • Providing expert guidance on MDHS recruitment policies, guidelines and EBA provisions
  • Championing equal employment opportunity practices across the organisation
  • Supporting recruitment administration activities, including job advertising, interview scheduling, pre-employment checks, contract drafting and onboarding coordination

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is not only skilled but genuinely enthusiastic about finding the right people for the right roles. You'll bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or Business, and/or demonstrated experience in Recruitment or Human Resources (preferred)
  • Proven hands-on experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and SEEK Talent Search โ€” highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary recruitment strategies, best practices and modern hiring tools
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and effectively prioritise competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and other recruitment technologies (desirable)
  • A genuine customer-focused mindset, ensuring the candidate and hiring manager experience remains front and centre
  • Experience evaluating and selecting both internal and external talent to achieve the best match for each role
