ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project is currently seeking experienced Surveyors (Linesmen) to support set-out, alignment and construction verification works for overhead transmission line infrastructure.

This is a remote project position operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Bus transport is currently provided from Sydney only, with various pick-up and drop-off locations between Sydney and the Mudgee region.

Applicants located within NSW outside the Sydney transport route will be required to DIDO (Drive In Drive Out) at their own expense. Please note this is not a FIFO role, and candidates residing outside NSW will be required to arrange and fund their own travel to Sydney or the site if successful.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with survey set-out for transmission line structures and access tracks

• Verifying alignment, levels and positioning of poles, towers and foundations

• Supporting construction teams with mark-up, measurements and survey data

• Using surveying equipment (GPS, total station) to ensure accuracy of works

• Interpreting plans and drawings to guide construction activities

• Working closely with engineers, supervisors and line crews

• Maintaining strong adherence to safety procedures and site requirements

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in surveying within civil construction or transmission projects

• Certificate III in ESI – Transmission Overhead (or equivalent Linesman qualification) highly regarded

• Experience in overhead transmission line construction highly desirable

• Proficiency with surveying instruments (GPS, total station)

• Experience in renewable energy projects highly desirable

• Additional tickets (working at heights, dogging, rigging) desirable

• Full C Class driver’s licence at minimum

• Construction White Card

• Own vehicle

• Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and police check
