Position Summary

The Supply Chain & Logistics (SCL) Manager is accountable for the end-to-end management of aviation supply chain and logistics activities supporting a diverse fleet of aircraft, including business jets and turboprop platforms.

The role ensures aircraft availability, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness by overseeing procurement, inventory management, import/export, dangerous goods, and ITAR-controlled logistics activities. Operating in a highly regulated environment, the SCL Manager works closely with CAMO, Part 145 maintenance organisations, OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient logistics outcomes across multiple operational bases.

Role and Responsibilities  

Education and Experience 

Fleet Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Own end-to-end supply chain performance for assigned aircraft fleets, ensuring aircraft availability, cost control, and compliance.
  • Manage spare parts procurement, inventory control, and replenishment strategies to minimise AOG events and operational disruption.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies supporting aircraft operations, maintenance, and deployment.
  • Manage OEM, supplier, and enterprise support programs to deliver agreed service levels across operational bases.
  • Coordinate inventory movement and logistics activities across CASA, FAA, and EASA jurisdictions.

Dangerous Goods Management

  • Act as the accountable manager for Dangerous Goods (DG) compliance across all logistics activities.
  • Oversee consigning, acceptance, transport, and documentation of dangerous goods in accordance with IATA DGR and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure personnel training, certification, and currency requirements are maintained for DG handling activities.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with CASA, FAA, EASA, ICAO, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Manage logistics activities involving ITAR-controlled components, ensuring compliance while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and audit readiness for inventory, consignments, and regulatory oversight.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and enterprise reporting requirements.

Operational Integration

  • Monitor logistics KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost control, and reliability.
  • Develop contingency and recovery plans for supply chain disruptions, unplanned maintenance, and AOG scenarios.
  • Partner closely with CAMO, Part 145 maintenance providers, and operational teams to deliver seamless logistics support.

Key Attributes

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, aviation management, or equivalent industry experience (minimum5+ years).
  • Demonstrated experience managing aviation supply chain and logistics operations in a regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of CASA, FAA, and/or EASA regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience managing dangerous goods in accordance with IATA DGR.
  • Strong understanding of aviation procurement, supplier management, and inventory control.
  • Highly developed problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian baseline security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

  Desirable

  • Exposure to ITAR-controlled components and import/export compliance.
  • Experience with ERP, MRO, or aviation logistics systems.
  • Previous leadership or functional management experience.
  • Experience supporting mixed aircraft fleets (business jets and/or turboprops).

Additional Eligibility Requirements 

  • IATA Dangerous Goods Certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent (desirable).

Supervisory Responsibility 
This role has significant supervisory responsibilities. 

Work Environment 
During deployment, employees will be living under field conditions and must be able to work with little supervision in austere or arduous environments. Work environment varies widely based on geographic location of contract operations.  

Security Clearance
Must be an Australian Citizen capable of obtaining or holding an NV1 Security Clearance.
