This is a role for a hands-on, people-first leader who wants to make a genuine difference — working alongside teams, not sitting behind a desk.

About the role

This newly created, hands-on leadership role works closely with the operational team to ensure our workforce is well supported, well planned and ready to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, and partnering closely with the Aged Care Manager, you’ll lead workforce and people operations across our aged care services — helping set our people up for success and translate strategic initiatives into everyday practice.

Your focus will be on people, planning and capability, supporting continuity of care, staff wellbeing and sustainable growth.

What you’ll be doing

Leading and motivating our dedicated team of Support Workers and Volunteers

Leading workforce planning, rostering and scheduling to support safe, consistent service delivery

Supporting and developing rostering and workforce staff through clear direction and collaboration

Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and induction for frontline roles

Building workforce capability through practical learning, performance support and engagement

Working with leaders to support staff wellbeing, early intervention and return-to-work

Ensuring workforce practices align with SCHADS Award, WHS requirements and organisational policies

Using workforce data and insights to improve efficiency, continuity and staff experience

About you

You’re a people-first leader who enjoys being close to operations and understands the realities of delivering care in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

You bring:

Experience leading workforce, people or operations functions (aged care or community services highly regarded)

A passion in building a capable, engaged teams connected through purpose

Strong capability in rostering, workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding

Practical understanding of the SCHADS Award

A collaborative and solutions-focused leadership style

The ability to balance people’s needs with operational priorities

Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care, Leadership, Management or HR are desirable but not essential.
