At Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS), our Family & Community Services team works at the grassroots level to wrap around and protect local families. 

Operating across Mildura and Swan Hill, we are dedicated to helping our Mob raise healthy, happy children with a strong connection to culture and identity.

Your Role

An opportunity is available for a Shift Worker to join the Meminar Ngangg Gimba (MNG) team in Mildura. This role helps keep the site safe, welcoming and well supported for residents, families and fellow staff.

As a Shift Worker, you will be the key shift supervisor responsible for monitoring the site and supporting the safety and security of residents and staff.

In this role you will 

  • Monitor the site to help keep residents, children and staff safe,
  • Provide support to women, children and families staying at MNG,
  • Help residents build independence and confidence,
  • Run age-appropriate children and family activities,
  • Prepare units for new residents, including restocking and reporting maintenance needs,
  • Receive referrals and complete assessments for crisis accommodation,
  • Complete general administration duties.

This is a casual position working to a rotating shift roster and is based at our Mildura MNG location.
