Senior T&D Operations Manager – Welshpool and Forrestfield, WA

About the Role -

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our Perth-based warehousing and transport operations across Welshpool and Forrestfield. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and profitable logistics services across a diverse portfolio—including general freight and Dangerous Goods—while building strong customer partnerships.

You will play a key role in shaping operational performance, driving continuous improvement, and developing future leaders within the business.

Key Responsibilities -

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead end-to-end warehouse and transport operations, including line haul and infield services.

  • Drive operational excellence, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and within contractual parameters.

  • Build a strong, high-performing team aligned to business strategy and objectives.

  • Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance

  • Lead and promote a strong safety-first culture across all operations.

  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Dangerous Goods handling, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation.

  • Participate in audits, safety inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Commercial & Performance

  • Deliver on financial targets through cost control, productivity improvements, and revenue growth.

  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure operational and customer performance.

  • Partner with customers to enhance service delivery and identify growth opportunities.

  • Contribute to innovative solutions that integrate Toll into customer supply chains.

People & Culture

  • Develop talent and build leadership capability within the team.

  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management.

  • Foster a culture aligned with Toll’s values: Customer, Teamwork, Progress, Accountability, Integrity.

  • Ensure workforce capability, licensing, and compliance standards are met.

Essential Experience & Skills -

  • Extensive experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing or transport operations.

  • Strong leadership and people management capability.

  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, multi-site operations.

  • Solid understanding of HSE requirements and regulatory compliance.

  • Financial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.

  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
