What’s on offer?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Night Shift Supervisor to lead our night shift operations on a busy road maintenance contract based at Rydalmere Riverzone. This role works on night shift (10:00pm–6:00am) and is responsible for supervising a team of supervisors, coordinating assets and subcontractors, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget during night operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role that plays a critical part in maintaining continuity between night and day shift activities. Some your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead, mentor and support night shift supervisors working across the 10:00pm–6:00am shift, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of road maintenance works
  • Manage asset management activities, including job tracking and close‑out, forecasting programmed works, KPI monitoring and accurate system reporting
  • Oversee financial performance for night shift operations, including budget control, invoice and claim verification, and identifying cost efficiencies
  • Coordinate subcontractors for network jobs, ensuring clear scopes, compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements, and delivery to program
  • Maintain strong communication with upper management and day shift teams to ensure clear reporting, effective handovers and operational continuity
  • Ensure all works are delivered safely, to specification, and in line with relevant standards, permits and traffic management requirements

How will you connect to the role?

You will have proven experience in road maintenance, with strong practical knowledge across concrete works, asphalt, drainage, vac truck and road sweeper operations, signage installation, and traffic control and temporary traffic management. You will have previous experience in a supervisory or senior supervisory role, ideally within night shift or 24/7 operations, and be confident leading teams in a high‑tempo environment. A solid understanding of asset management systems, job tracking processes and KPI reporting is essential, along with demonstrated experience managing budgets, reviewing invoices and supporting commercial outcomes.

You’ll be a confident and approachable leader with excellent communication skills, capable of building strong working relationships with supervisors, subcontractors, clients and management. You will bring a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining calm, well‑organised operations during night works.

This is a critical leadership role on an essential road maintenance contract, offering long‑term stability, responsibility and the opportunity to influence performance and outcomes. You’ll work with an organisation that values safety, professionalism and teamwork, and supports leaders who deliver results the right way.
