About the role

EIC Activities is seeking a Senior Engineer – Geotechnical to join our Ground Engineering team in Brisbane.

This role is a key technical contributor, supporting the delivery of major tenders and projects by providing high-quality geotechnical input, analysis, and design. You will work closely with Principals and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, practical, and innovative ground engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver geotechnical engineering analysis, design, and documentation as a task lead or project team member
  • Support ground investigations, interpretation of geotechnical data, and development of design solutions
  • Assist with identifying and mitigating geotechnical risks on major projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams, project stakeholders, and external partners
  • Contribute to tender submissions, methodologies, and technical proposals
  • Support continuous improvement, innovation, safety, and quality outcomes
  • Mentor and support junior engineers where appropriate

 

About you

You are a motivated and collaborative engineer who is building your reputation through strong technical delivery and a proactive approach to problem solving.

You will ideally have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology
  • 8+ years’ experience in engineering consulting and/or construction
  • Experience delivering geotechnical components of major infrastructure projects 
  • Strong technical capability in geotechnical analysis and design
  • Experience supporting tenders and project delivery phases 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Emerging leadership capability with a willingness to mentor others
