Aurora Dairies are currently seeking a Senior Farm Hand (or Farm Hand) for a dairy farm in Cooriemungle, located 10 minutes from Simpson in South West Victoria. 

The farm is approximately 310ha effective area, currently milking 550 Holstein cows, through a 60 bail rotary shed with ACR’s and auto teat spray. GEA Dairy Plan is used for herd recording and the farm is predominantly pasture based with grain fed in the dairy. This farm is 80% Autumn and 20% Spring calving starting in March and late August.

This role will include tasks the areas of:

• Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures.
• All aspects of milking.
• Animal husbandry.
• Pasture management.
• Machinery operation.
• Repairs and maintenance.

• Past dairy industry experience is desirable for this position, but we may consider inexperienced applicants with the right attitude.
