Senior Civil Engineer

What you'll do
- Deliver discipline specific civil engineering services that satisfy Worley, its clients and meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements on time and within budget as part of the delivery team.
- Where acting as the nominated project lead, you will provide technical support, supervision and advice to the discipline team and the wider project team who may be situated both locally and remotely in our global offices
- Ensure the production of high-quality technical deliverables produced by both you and the team (including access roads, construction pads, bulk and detailed earthworks associated with new pipelines, as well as general mining support and infrastructure development)
- Review civil vendor supplied packages as required dependant on the project
- Cross-disciplinary coordination to support successful delivery of customer requirements
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its customers' requirements.
- Support effective communication within the civil engineering team and project stakeholders, including customers.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
- Technical supervision and mentorship of less experienced engineers
- Perform tasks such as:
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow Worley management system processes and procedures
- Clarify and effectively manage civil scope and raise changes in line with project change management processes;
- Gather data from multiple sources and prepare engineering studies, analyses and calculations. Support the technical development of solutions and recommendations and create final documentation for project deliverables.
- Perform review/detailed checking on work completed by both local and workshare offices as required by the project
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.

Provide input to proposals in preparing hours estimates, clarifications and bid documentation
About You
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or relevant degree
- 15+ years' experience in civil engineering design across mining and energy sectors.
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- Extensive delivery experience as part of multidiscipline team
- Strong understanding of how civil designers perform their duties using 3D modelling and drafting packages.
- Proven experience in successfully leading ad contributing to teams delivering projects under tight schedules is essential
- Sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards, as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
- Experience working with and managing diverse teams across multiple geographic locations
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively
- Chartered Professional Engineer status, registration on an appropriate national engineering register, and any relevant state-based professional engineering registration, such as RPEQ or RPEV, are highly regarded.
