The Role
Bega Group's Ridge Street site is undergoing its biggest transformation yet, with a $50 million investment driving growth and investment, we have multiple casual opportunities for Production Operators starting as early as possible.
Join our passionate production team at Bega on the Sapphire Coast of NSW, where we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality dairy products enjoyed across Australia. You’ll be part of a supportive, safety-focused and collaborative team that keeps our manufacturing operations running smoothly every day.
Our Ridge street site in Bega NSW services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renowned Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger cheese slices.
Shift Availability
We currently have casual opportunities across the following shifts:
Eight-hour patterns
Monday to Friday – 8‑hour Rotational Day/Afternoon Shifts
Monday to Friday - 8-hour Permanent Night Shifts
Twelve-hour patterns

Days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 12‑hour shifts (6 am – 6 pm)
One 8‑hour Sunday shift every 4 weeks (6 am – 2 pm)

Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 12‑hour shifts (6 pm – 6 am)
One 8‑hour Sunday shift every 4 weeks (10 pm – 6 am)

Days - Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 12‑hour shifts (6 am – 6 pm)
One 8‑hour Sunday shift every 4 weeks (6 am – 2 pm)

Nights- Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 12‑hour shifts (6:00 pm – 6:00 am)
One 8-hour Sunday shift every 4 weeks (10:00 pm – 6:00 am)
Responsibilities
Operate machinery and equipment safely in line with procedures and standards
Deliver production activities to meet daily and weekly schedules and targets
Perform quality checks and follow work instructions to ensure product specifications are met
Monitor machines and processes, identifying and escalating issues promptly
Support a positive team culture through communication, collaboration and continuous improvement
About you
Strong awareness of workplace health and safety standards
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and quality requirements
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality products
Clear communicator who works well in a team, shows reliability, flexibility and a willingness to learn
Experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable
Availability to work across the entire shift pattern
