Production Operator

The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a multi-skilled team member who can confidently operate our processing equipment while also being prepared to assist with farm-based work as required. 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Production Operator, preferably with a background in FMCG or GMP-regulated process manufacturing environments. You will be comfortable moving between production responsibilities and farm activities, adapting to operational demands as needed. 

About the role:  

• Sitting in a small team of passionate people, Comvita runs a productive Olive grove in rural Queensland.  
• Operation of production equipment in line with standard operating instructions. 
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace. 
• Use of Lean Manufacturing Principles e.g. 5S, KPIs 
• Record keeping in applicable batch records. 
• Warehouse operations including loading and unloading trucks 
• Ensuring consumables levels are maintained and batch documents are prepared 
• Support Field team during non-production time in various tasks including mowing, weeding, operating tractors and spraying tasks 

About you: 

As we have a small but mighty team, we are needing someone who is a team player, happy to work together but also confident to work independently. SO the ability to pick-up tasks quickly and help out where needed is integrel to this role. Alongside these important things; you would also have the following qualities; 

• Experience working within a FMCG/GMP environments preferred 
• Health and Safety focused 
• High attention to detail and strong work ethic. 
• Strong team player with good communication skills. 
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role – lifting up to 20 kg on a regular basis. 
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. 
• Forklift ticket desirable 
• GMP or equivalent food handling experience 
• Basic computer skills
