Our business spans the design, manufacture, supply, construction and maintenance of remote, off-grid power and water infrastructure, with many products built at our Malaga facility using proprietary and patented designs.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager to join our Support Services team in Malaga.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Identify and assess new opportunities, working with key stakeholders to prioritise pursuits and support forward planning.
• Lead and continuously improve bid management and pre-contracts processes, ensuring strong governance and compliance.
• Oversee estimating activities to deliver accurate, competitive and commercially sound submissions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the pre-contracts team, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage bids and tenders across UON business units, including preparation of technical and commercial submissions where required.
• Partner with sales, engineering, delivery, commercial, finance and legal teams to shape win strategies and compelling bid themes.
• Review commercial terms, pricing and risk throughout the bid process to support compliant and profitable outcomes.
• Contribute to high-quality proposals and presentations that are clear, professional and aligned to client requirements.
• Monitor bid budgets, KPIs and timelines to ensure governance milestones and submission deadlines are achieved.
• Support major project opportunities, coordinate client presentations and lead post-bid reviews to strengthen future performance.

 
Skills & Experience

• Extensive industry experience in a Pre-Contracts Manager or similar senior pre-contracts leadership role.
• Demonstrated success across the full project lifecycle, from tender strategy and development through to project handover.
• Strong experience in the mining and construction sectors, with well-developed commercial and technical acumen.
• Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and present effectively.
• Strong leadership capability, including experience mentoring teams and driving high-performance outcomes.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong numeracy, systems skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
