The Opportunity

To support the payroll function by assisting with payroll processing, maintaining accurate employee data, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies, and contributing to the efficiency and integrity of payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpretation of Awards, CLC, IFA’s and EBA’s and applying the rules.

  • Processing of weekly payroll for several entities across the business.

  • Ensuring all on-boarding documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Ensure new starter information is accurately completed in Workday in a timely manner, aligned with payroll records, and appropriately documented and stored for audit purposes.

  • Assisting with absenteeism reports.

  • Monitoring of times recorded by Departmental Manager to ensure compliance

  • Calculations of Incentive Payments

  • Dealing with payroll queries from staff members.

  • Ensure any data changes in Workday, such as wage or salary adjustments, level increases, or other authorised updates are up to date and accurately reflected in payroll.

  • Ensure that all employees nominated superannuation funds are accurately recorded and maintained for compliance purposes.

What makes you a great fit

  • Certificate III or IV of Business Administration

  • Previous experience in a payroll or similar administrative role

  • Experience using MYOB and/or Workday (highly desirable)

  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good understanding of payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and payroll systems

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
