The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Passive Fire Service Technician to join our growing team in Brisbane. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance of passive fire protection systems across a diverse range of commercial and industrial client sites throughout South East Queensland.
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Carpenter or Passive Fire Technician to join one of Queensland’s most established fire protection businesses, working with leading passive fire products and systems while contributing to high-quality compliance and safety outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Installing and maintaining passive fire protection systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Australian Standards, and the National Construction Code
  • Working with products including TBA Firefly, Trafalgar, and Promat systems
  • Conducting inspections, testing, servicing, and remedial works on passive fire systems
  • Liaising with clients to ensure projects and service requirements are delivered efficiently and on schedule
  • Coordinating effectively with team members and multiple trade disciplines on-site
  • Completing service reports and compliance documentation accurately
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism at all times
 
Your Skills, Experience & Attributes
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • QBCC Licence or ability to obtain one
  • Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) or Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining (CPC31220)
  • Previous experience in passive fire installation or maintenance highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of passive fire systems and compliance requirements
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Full working rights in Australia (essential)
