Optical Fitter/ Machine Operator

Employal Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for Machine Operator/Assembler who are enthusiastic, reliable, and looking for work in Banksmeadow. 

Available Coverage Shifts & Pay Rates:

• Morning Shift: 6:00AM – 2:00PM - $31.19 per hour
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00PM – 10:00PM - $35.87 per hour

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily production operations by fitting, processing, and handling prescription lenses to ensure products are completed to a high standard within required timeframes.
You will work closely with the production team to maintain efficiency, quality, and accuracy while contributing to a positive and safety-focused workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform lens fitting and production-related tasks in line with operational procedures
• Handle, inspect, and process prescription lenses with a high level of accuracy and care
• Read and interpret work instructions, prescriptions, and production specifications
• Maintain quality standards and ensure products meet required specifications
• Prioritise workload effectively to meet production deadlines
• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work collaboratively with team members and across departments
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with company policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:

• Previous experience in optical manufacturing, lens fitting, production, or a manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Positive attitude and strong team focus
• Understanding of lens types, prescriptions, or optical manufacturing processes will be highly regarded
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high-quality standards
