Ready Industries is a national leader in temporary fencing and site solutions, supporting major construction, infrastructure and event projects across Australia. We are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Western Australian operations and drive safety, productivity and customer outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the State Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of site operations, including warehouse staff, subcontractors, inventory, safety, quality assurance and service delivery. This role plays a critical part in improving operational efficiency, maintaining compliance, and supporting sustainable business growth.
You will work closely with the management team to refine processes, manage performance, and ensure operations are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with our values of Foundation, Teamwork, Innovation and Customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and manage warehouse staff and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain effective communication with management, staff and subcontractors across sites
- Implement and uphold quality assurance and safety control protocols
- Ensure operational activities remain on time and within budget
- Manage subcontractor requirements, including sourcing when required
- Oversee stock inventory and resource planning
- Manage onboarding and training for warehouse staff and subcontractors
- Address employee and subcontractor performance issues
- Act as a key escalation point for customer issues, incidents and site concerns
- Represent the business on regulatory and compliance matters
- Complete site audits and contribute operational insights to strategic planning
- Manage key vendor relationships
About You
You are an operational leader with strong people management capability and a hands-on approach to problem solving. You bring structure to complex environments and understand how to balance safety, productivity and customer service.
You will ideally have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar operations leadership role
- Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning, organisation and time management capability
- Working knowledge of operational systems and reporting
- Practical experience in workforce planning and inventory managementRelevant licences for operational equipment (e.g. forklift)
