This is an opportunity for an experienced operational leader to make a meaningful impact across residential and independent living services.
Leading the Residential Services Manager and Independence Program Manager, you will ensure services are safe, responsive, financially sustainable and consistently aligned with therapeutic practice, organisational values and requirements.
You will balance strategic and operational leadership: strengthening systems, developing managers, managing risk and critical incidents, monitoring performance and maintaining strong relationships with government and sector partners.
Key responsibilities include: - Leading high-quality residential and independent living services
- Coaching and developing program managers and strengthening leadership capability
- Overseeing operational systems, documentation, reporting and continuous improvement
- Leading responses to high and critical incidents, complaints and emerging risks
- Ensuring compliance and standards
- Using service data to identify risks, measure outcomes and improve practice
- Developing workforce, training, rostering and succession plans
- Managing service budgets, occupancy, workforce productivity and resource utilisation
- Supporting the establishment of new residential services
About you:You are an experienced and credible leader who can combine strong practice knowledge with disciplined operational and financial management.
You understand the complexity of residential care and can create the systems, leadership capability and culture required to deliver safe and consistent services. You remain calm in challenging circumstances, make sound decisions and build confidence with staff, executives, government stakeholders and young people.
You will bring: - Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, community services or a related discipline
- At least three years’ experience in a senior leadership or operational management role
- An applied understanding of therapeutic care
- Experience managing operational budgets, workforce planning, rostering and service performance
- The ability to lead incident, risk and complaint management processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with government agencies or funding bodies
- Highly developed judgement, communication and decision-making skills
