About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic National Operations Manager - Security to oversee the operational and financial performance of security operations across Australia. In this senior leadership role, you will drive efficiency, ensure strict adherence to security protocols, and deliver exceptional service to clients. You will lead a high-performing team, align operational strategies with company objectives, and ensure the safety and financial sustainability of security sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage security operations to meet client expectations and contractual obligations, maintaining compliance and company objectives across all sites in Australia.
· Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, promptly addressing operational issues, concerns, and successes.
· Conduct regular quality assurance audits, safety assessments, and risk evaluations to ensure operational standards and compliance requirements are met.
· Create, maintain, and implement consistent high-level training materials across the security division to ensure uniformity in service delivery.
· Investigate and resolve complaints thoroughly, ensuring all necessary documentation and actions are completed and delegated accordingly.
· Oversee the efficient mobilisation and implementation of new security contracts, ensuring effective coordination between head office, operations teams and client sites.
· Manage operational budgets, ensuring all security services are delivered within financial parameters and aligning with company goals.
· Provide regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting variances and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
· Identify revenue opportunities to increase business and maximise turnover from each client, focusing on both labour and non-labour expenses.
· Foster a positive workplace culture through leadership, mentorship, and staff development, while ensuring compliance with security protocols, WHS standards, and risk management policies.
Skills & Experience
· Degree qualified in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is desirable.
· Full certification in security operations is required.
· Extensive experience in leading and managing large-scale security operations, including incident management, risk assessment, and security protocols.
· Proven history in managing and implementing security systems and technologies, ensuring the safety and protection of assets and personnel.
· Demonstrated success in managing budgets, financial objectives, and key performance indicators within a security or operations-focused environment.
· Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and security excellence.
· Proven ability to manage contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and variations, ensuring compliance with organisational and client requirements.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, clients, and operational teams.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, law enforcement, and security providers.
· In-depth understanding of security compliance standards, including WHS regulations, emergency response plans, and legislation relevant to security operations.
