Responsibilities

Role Overview
Redpath is seeking an experienced Mining Superintendent to lead underground operations at the Federation Mine. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing production, safety, and workforce performance on a major underground development project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to underground mining teams
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently
  • Manage supervisors, operators, and contractors across multiple crews
  • Ensure compliance with site safety systems, statutory requirements, and company standards
  • Monitor and improve operational performance, productivity, and cost control
  • Coordinate mine schedules in line with development and production plans
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Mentor and develop supervisors and emerging leaders
  • Liaise with client representatives and senior management
  • Drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications

About You

  • Extensive underground mining experience, including development operations
  • Previous experience in a Superintendent or senior leadership role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing safety and operational performance'
  • Sound understanding of underground mining methods, equipment, and systems
  • Ability to interpret and implement mine plans and schedules
  • Statutory qualifications (highly regarded depending on site requirements)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to work on a rotational roster (2/2 or as required)
