Applicant Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in metal fabrication, with a proven track record of working with various metals and welding techniques.
  • Required to present evidence of qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent. ( Only if you are from these countries:  ​​​​​Brazil, China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Zimbabwe)
  • Applicants must provide documentation including references from previous employment, pay slips, a valid passport, and police clearance.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabrication: Utilise your expertise in metalworking to fabricate structural steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
  • Welding: Demonstrate proficiency in welding techniques to create strong and secure connections between steel components, ensuring structural integrity
  • Assembly: Assemble fabricated steel components with precision, ensuring proper alignment and fit to meet project requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks throughout the fabrication process to uphold standards of durability, strength, and safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and fellow team members to coordinate fabrication activities and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address any challenges or issues that arise during the fabrication process, implementing effective solutions to maintain workflow efficiency and quality standards.
 
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in metal fabrication, evidenced by at least 5 years in the field.
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to work with a range of metals.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with team members and management
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors
