Mechanical Fitter

The hours of work are 6am-2.00pm casual ongoing, with the potential to transition into a permanent position and the hourly rate is $59per hour plus penalties

Responsibilities: 

• Promptly carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance of manufacturing plant and associated equipment with minimal supervision. 
• Undertake non-structural welding repairs. 
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and instructions, in particular safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• To work as part of a team committed to implementing the principles and philosophy of customer service and quality products. 
• Maintain tooling for pressing and shearing operations. 
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostic analysis, including overhaul, of plant and equipment, as necessary. 
• Be available to enact repairs or maintenance in the event of breakdowns outside normal hours. 
• Ensuring manufactured products meets tolerances. 
• Contributes to the team environment by performing other duties as required.

Essential:

• Demonstrated experience in similar role in similar industry.
• Good technical knowledge of Manufacturing or Production processes.
• Good Communication Skills and Problem Solving.
• Trade qualification

Desirable:

• Trade Qualified Fitter
• Forklift ticket 
• Confined spaces ticket 
• EWP ticket
