We’re expanding our Mechanical team in Brisbane and are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to take ownership of project delivery and mentor developing engineers. About the Opportunity
Our Property & Buildings division is a global leader in technical and management consulting across all major sectors. In Brisbane, our Building Services team delivers complex projects spanning transport, defence, commercial, civic, data centres and large‑scale infrastructure. You'll join a highly collaborative group of engineers, designers, and technical specialists who share knowledge freely and value innovative, sustainable solutions.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the delivery of design packages, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to high quality technical outcomes across multidisciplinary projects. You’ll play a part in shaping projects that influence Brisbane’s built environment for years to come.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:

  • Support small to medium scale mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams delivering large, complex major projects
  • Produce mechanical design documentation to industry, commercial, and regulatory standards
  • Support design coordination across multidisciplinary teams
  • Support project planning to meet budget, scope, and program requirements
  • Undertake site inspections and ensure designs translate seamlessly to installation
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business

     

  • Contribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement across the Mechanical discipline

 

About You
Please note: Australian citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects.

You will bring:

  • 3–6 years experience in mechanical building services engineering
  • A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • Strong design capability across HVAC, ventilation, heating and associated systems
  • Experience working within Australian building services consultancies
  • Ideally you will have familiarity across multiple sectors (commercial, data centres, education, defence, healthcare etc.)
  • Working knowledge of the BCA, NCC and relevant Australian Standards

     

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present confidently to clients and stakeholders
